Two worlds under one roof

During the International Water Week, co-organisers Amsterdam RAI, IWA and NWP presented an integrated conference consisting of Aquaterra (on delta’s, coasts and rivers), Aquainnovation (about accelerating Innovation in the water sector), and Aquaindustry (presenting industrial water solutions). The international conference focused on the broader social and economic aspects of
water development projects, bringing together the worlds of water management and technology.

The three-day forum attracted over 420 leading experts from around the world. There were in-depth discussions on topics such as deltas, coasts and rivers, as well as ways to accelerate innovation in the water sector and ensure industrial water solutions profit from water resource management. The latter is crucial in order to ensure a sustainable future for the world’s vulnerable and densely populated delta areas, many of which are the economic powerhouses and food baskets of nations.
